Gospel for the Park  is a benefit concert for the Corporal Jamie Brendan Murphy Community Park May 30, 2014 at 7pm.

With more than 750 volunteers the park was built on June 8, 2013, and named for the first Newfoundlander to pay the supreme sacrifice in Afghanistan.  Corporal Jamie Brendan Murphy of Conception Harbour is a celebrated hero and our guiding light for love, hope, and justice.
Featuring -

The Morgan Brothers of Bay Roberts are an amazing vocal gospel group made up of Scott, Blair, and Corey Morgan. With Barry Gosse and George Bartlett as accompanists they bring peace to the restless, savage soul.

The St. Peter's Fellowship Band made up of Bob Smith, Jerry Tilley, Greg Mercer, Allan Drover, Gerry White, Jackie McCann-Scott, Jean Ford, and Ralph Drover are inspirational wonders out of Conception Bay South whose spiritual tunes ring up and down the shore.

With tea, coffee, and cake at intermission it is an evening of great music and fellowship not to be missed.
